Day 120

The number of condominiums, highrise apartments and buildings being constructed around the Metro (and maybe even out of) has mushroomed in the last several years. Is living in one the way to go for people in their retiring years? Is this even a sign of progress?

Day 119

A big help to relatives awaiting the arrival of their loved ones at the Centennial Airport is this LCD screen.

Day 118

This is one of my food quirks... Potato Chips sandwich a la Jack 'n Jill! Plain.. no dressing.. no spreads.. just plain crispy barbecue flavored potato chips by JnJ sandwiched in bread or pandesal! I had this for lunch today. Yum! What's yours?

Day 117

Yes, our dear Margaux has moved on. And we are glad she has. We can tell by the way she sleeps... not a single care in the world, hahahaha.... She is back to her happy, playful and carefree self.

Day 116

My attempt at making ginataang hipon with sitaw was a success! With hot steaming rice and tinapa as side dish, dinner was great!

Day 115

Surreal but nice?

Day 114

He got his first haircut today! The summer heat is just too much for him.

Friday, April 23, 2010

Day 113

Out goes the pink... In comes the green. Footbridges are now losing their signature fuschia pink color assigned by former MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando for his projects.

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Day 112

Banana split a la Gita is one of my little ways of beating the summer heat. It is a bit short on ingredients but who can resist this on a sweltering day like this!

Day 111

I am a messy cook. And this thingie that I saw in the mall might just be a great help for me. I don't even know what it is called, but it is made of silicone and is the perfect tool to rest your hot sandoks and syanses on while cooking. And they come in pretty neon colors, too!

Day 110

I don't recall having peeled and sliced a pineapple ever in my life! Up to this day, I just don't know how. Thanks for packed fruits like these that are now sold in groceries, maybe I don't have to learn it anymore.

Day 109

SM Hypermart cashiers have always been shortchanging customers for the longest time. I can't believe SM let me rob her of P0.06! It felt good telling the cashier "Kulang ako ng P0.06 cents ha."

Monday, April 19, 2010

Day 108

Karate Kid's version of Gyudon. It is definitely not the best you will ever have but it is suprisingly good for its price of P99.00.

Sunday, April 18, 2010

Day 107

I finally got myself a Sun Broadband Wirelss dongle and I am happy with it. Companies, like Sun, who are struggling to compete with existing iron giants, somehow are the alternatives for consumers like me... at much lower service rates! That means more choices for us!
Competition is almost always good for the consumers. It keeps each competitor up on its toes making sure its loyal clients stay on their ship and don't jump off by providing great service and even greater deals.
I love that Sun is giving them giants a run for their money.

Day 106

I say a little prayer for you...

Day 105

A bit too creamy for me... good, but it tastes too fattening. LOL! and i wish they had put all pistachio nuts instead of mixing in cashew bits for more of that pistachio taste.

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Day 104

No, it isn't my feather duster. It is Disney getting his daily brushing treat while sprawled on the table. Ain't that cute!

Tuesday, April 13, 2010

Day 103

This little kid seems to be having a great time bungee-ing right in the mall!

Monday, April 12, 2010

Day 102

New teeny tiny toy... no, not the doll. She is sitting on it. Thanks, Rommel!

Day 101

A trip to Olongapo should never be without a sidetrip to Royal Subic. Great prices.. great items..

Sunday, April 11, 2010

Day 100

I am quite surprised that their loaf is good! Soft, light, moist... and a lot cheaper than Gardenia which I regularly buy.

Friday, April 9, 2010

Day 99

After our weekly trip to Makati Cinema Square, we passed by McDonald's drive-thru and saw two new sundae flavors on the menu. Hubby had the Blueberry Sundae while I had my classic favorite Hot Fudge Sundae. He said it was pretty good! I would surely try this next time.

Thursday, April 8, 2010

Day 98

Proudly Pinoy. The candied pili nut that is thinly coated with crispy caramelized sugar is one of my favorite pasalubongs from my Bicolano friends!

Day 97

Disney has his own way of telling you it's "scratch-my-belly" time. You just won't have the heart to say "No".

Tuesday, April 6, 2010

Day 96

So this is how they do it at the railroad crossing in Bicutan... I wonder why they still use a flagman to stop the oncoming traffic when there are striped gates in place right there! This is just so unbelievably crude and backward! Ano ba!

Monday, April 5, 2010

Day 95

Peeled and ready. I grabbed a pack as soon as I saw this. Eating kiatkiat is now no different from eating your M&M's and potato chips! Healthier pa! I wished they were seedless, though.

Sunday, April 4, 2010

Day 94

Sacchin woke up late for the Easter Egg Hunt this morning and just settled for the ones in our ref! LOL! Happy Easter to all!

Saturday, April 3, 2010

Day 93

We couldn't wait for this on dibidi so we watched it today. I liked it although the movie reviewers weren't too pleased with it. For me, it was entertaining enough and the CG effects were well done (though not as great as Avatar's, of course). One thing though, I didn't think the 3D effects were necessary. They didn't wow me.

Friday, April 2, 2010

Day 92

.... a day of reflection and prayer.... Good Friday.

Thursday, April 1, 2010

Day 91

It is difficult to imagine how every clear space you see along this railroad tracks was once filled with makeshift shanties that housed thousands and thousands of illegal dwellers or squatters. By some miracle, they are all gone now and Disney and I were able to walk down the tracks as leisurely as we could. I have always wanted to do this after I saw the movie "Stand By Me". And today, I got my chance.

Day 90

This sight broke my heart. Margaux cut herself and had a very deep laceration on her right front leg. It bled like hell and I got so scared I was in a panic state. Mon was able to struggle with her just so he could apply pressure on the wound to stop the bleeding. Thank God the bleeding stopped and Mon was able to dress the wound, but definitely not before a ton of squirming and wrestling.
