Day 241

Aha! Another newly found haven!

Day 212

This is one of my favorite stores.

Day 199

Although its customer service can get better, its prices are the best. Thank god I have been quite lucky with this store so far with the items I have bought.

Day 195

The bad weather couldn't keep us from CCP's Cinemalaya 2010.... but Meralco did... ( It makes me wonder why CCP doesn't have its own power generator.)

Day 190

It has been ages since I have last been to Makati... I didn't even know until today that a big part of the commercial/shopping area is gone!
( Berl, can you map out this one? Hint... I took this shot from the second floor of Park Square multilevel parking...)

Day 185

No, it is not haunted. But whenever I pass by this house, I get the feeling that it is staring back at me! Crazy me, LOL!

Day 163

Ahhhh... another All-You-Can-Eat place in MOA where one can drown in food and more food. It was another night that I totally gave in to the calling of salmon sashimi and more!

Day 159

I love their fitting rooms ! I tried on almost a dozen pairs of jeans in search of that one perfect fit and I didn't have a tough time at all. They're so spacious and stylish! And in a fitting room like this, trying things on is also a visually pleasurable experience!

Day 156

This structure caught my eye when I was in Boni Hi this afternoon. Taking a closer look, I found out that this structure is a Dap-ay or Ato, a sacred stone paved courtyard that functions as a traditional seat of government among the Bontocs. It serves as the village dormitory where much of the community wisdom is passed on to the young males of the tribe.

Day 155

This is a Japanes-food lover's paradise! Shelves after shelves of Japanese sauces, candies, noodles, teas, rice, dairy products, cold cuts, even frozen delights ... anything that your kitchen needs whose label is written in Japanese is right here in Yamazaki grocery located in Little Tokyo, Makati. I got a bottle of teriyaki sauce today for only P128... Don't forget their dining area where you can enjoy great tasting food, yes, Japanese food.

Day 150

I remember the days when we used to pay only P1.00 (even less, I think) for our toll in South Superhighway way back in the '70's... and now it is up to P30.00! And now I hear that the rates are going up again within this month... How much more can we take!!!

Day 136

It was all worth it. A day well spent.

Day 128

It wasn't a very pleasant sight to see while driving home from work. Along the highway, the camouflage certainly can't work, can it!

Day 126

They used to be landless by the railroad tracks. And now, they're trying to trickle their way back, even if this time, they're roofless.

Day 125

Today, they spoke.

Day 120

The number of condominiums, highrise apartments and buildings being constructed around the Metro (and maybe even out of) has mushroomed in the last several years. Is living in one the way to go for people in their retiring years? Is this even a sign of progress?

Day 119

A big help to relatives awaiting the arrival of their loved ones at the Centennial Airport is this LCD screen.

Monday, April 26, 2010

Day 115

Surreal but nice?

Friday, April 23, 2010

Day 113

Out goes the pink... In comes the green. Footbridges are now losing their signature fuschia pink color assigned by former MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando for his projects.

Day 101

A trip to Olongapo should never be without a sidetrip to Royal Subic. Great prices.. great items..
